New Triumph Scrambler 400 XC
Triumph Motorcycles officially launched the all-new Scrambler 400 XC in mid-May 2025, following the successful debut of the Scrambler 400 X in 2024. Developed in partnership with Bajaj and now manufactured in India, the Scrambler 400 XC is the latest addition to Triumph’s growing 400cc lineup with a more rugged and more off-road-focused look.

While retaining its beginner-friendly, A2-license-compliant 40 hp single-cylinder engine.
The Scrambler 400 XC features several visual and functional upgrades over the original 400 X. Most notably, it gets a raised front wheel fender, a protective grille over the signature round LED headlight, and an additional spoiler screen – design cues that highlight its off-road intentions.
Triumph has said that these changes make the XC variant more suitable for rough terrain while retaining its classic Scrambler identity.
A key difference between the XC and X models is in the wheels. While the 400X comes with cast wheels, the XC is equipped with tubeless cross-spoke wheels, which enhance both durability and the bike’s rugged styling
Despite the upgraded looks, the bike retains much of the chassis of the Scrambler 400 XC.
It continues to use upside-down and forward telescopic forks with a preload-adjustable central rear shock absorber and gets 150mm of suspension travel at both the front and rear. The seat height is also 835mm, which is accessible to most riders in this segment.
The cockpit setup is familiar to riders of the Scrambler 400X, with an LCD display and a disc brake on each wheel. The XC variant gets additional equipment such as a USB charging port, radiator grille, aluminum skid plate, and side crash protection bars.
The Scrambler 400 XC is currently priced at 294,147 Indian rupees (around 3,100 euros), which represents an estimated 10% premium over the standard 400X.
If the same pricing trend continues in Europe, German riders can expect a retail price around 6,895 euros, compared to 6,295 euros for the 400X.
